When looking for the ideal car to use in Forza Horizon 5, many factors are to consider. While there are choices that allow you to step into a car's standard configuration, there are instances in which further tuning can make a significant difference.

It's also important to consider how easily each car can be reached. Obtaining cars is most often accomplished by purchasing cars at the Autoshow, winning bids at the Auction House, or using lucky Wheelspin pulls. For the time being, a small number of them can be uncovered through Barn Finds or by completing Accolades. We've also thrown in several of the DLCs from Forza Horizon 5, such as the VIP Pass, the Welcome Pack, and the Formula Drift Pack, for good measure.

To a certain extent, Forza Horizon 5 is similar to your neighbourhood secondhand car dealership in that both occupy a large portion of your television screen late at night with the siren song of "500 cars!!!" So the question isn't whether or not you're going to get a new car. Rather, it's about what you're going to spend your money on.

The fact that more than 500 cars are included in Playground Games' acclaimed open-world racing, which is available today on Xbox One and PC (through Game Pass for both), isn't the only thing that makes it stand out. Interestingly, each car is individually calibrated, resulting in noticeably different handling from the other 499. As a result, there is a bewildering array of options available. Some cars are fantastic. Some, though, are not so enthusiastic. In addition, a small number of them are world-class, belonging to an exclusive red-rope club that you'd expect to see on a parkway of the Ligurian. And that's not even considering the fact that you may fine-tune a variety of specifications before each race, including tyre pressure, spring stiffness, caster angle, braking pressure, and so on.

Sports cars are among the most exciting racing cars in Forza Horizon 5. Often, they mix the great performance of racecars with the luxury of luxurious sedans to create a hybrid car. Because of the combo of raw power and high-end luxury, sports cars are extremely enjoyable to drive – and they make you feel gorgeous while doing so! Quite simply, "Cars move fast make vroom" is my go-to criteria for determining which cars are the best in Forza Horizon 5. The straightaway speed is not just a measure of how physically fast a car can travel. Still, it is also a benchmark that determines the outcome of a wholly subjective calculation that considers how well the car handles, how much it costs, and even how attractive it appears in screenshots. Finally, Forza Horizon 5 is all about getting behind the wheel of amazing cars that are fun to drive across stunning environments. According to that criterion, these are the crème of the crop.

The top ten best cars in Forza Horizon are those that achieve a mix between speed and control, allowing you to consistently win races when you're in the driver's seat. However, because of the wide range of race series and terrain types accessible in Forza Horizon 5, you'll need to equip your garage with a diverse selection of the best cars for the job present in the game. Unfortunately, you'll have to spend a significant amount of time earning Credits (CR), or you'll have to be lucky with Wheelspins to accomplish this. Even if you don't have access to the fastest and most costly hypercars on the market, you may still improve the performance of the cars in your garage in order to remain competitive with your competitors. When driving along the major highway road in Mexico, we reached top speeds of approximately 283mph, and at times, even a bit faster. Indeed, if speed is what you're looking for, any of the newer hyper-powerful Koenigseggs will suffice as a replacement. The Agera RS is 800,000 CR less expensive than the Jesko and has similar stats and a slightly higher rating of 980. Similarly, the Koenigsegg One:1 has a rating of 983 and performance numbers of 10 but is priced the same as the Jesko.

Mercedes-AMG Project One (2021)

Classification: S2 – 927

Price: CR 2.7 million (approximately).

There's a good reason why this car appears on the cover of Forza Horizon 5: The Grand Prix. It has a top speed of over 200mph and excellent acceleration, making the Mercedes-AMG Project One incredibly powerful. The AMG One, built with F1 hybrid technology, also has excellent grip and turning characteristics, even at greater speeds. As a member of the S2 Class, driving this car around any of Forza Horizon 5's races will be a challenge, but road races and some street races will undoubtedly be the greatest environments for it to do well in. As a result of its tremendous speed is an excellent choice for free roam activities such as Speed Traps, Speed Zones, and Danger Signs, among others. We discovered a player-created melody that raised its rating to X Class and increased its top speed to 251 mph, which was impressive.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S (2020)

Classification: S1 – 900 (Welcome Pack) / S1 – 807 (Welcome Pack) (normal version)

Price: CR 185,000 (included in the premium Welcome Pack) (normal version)

A new all-electric Porsche, the Taycan, makes its foray into the world of Forza Horizon 5. With the Welcome Pack edition of the car, which is currently part of the Premium edition of Forza Horizon 5 but can also be purchased separately as part of the Premium Add-On Bundle, we've got much faster acceleration and launch. Because its weight is tremendously fast on drag strips and straight-line road races, but it is quite unwieldy in more technical street races. Therefore it should be avoided. However, it is on the more affordable end of the S1 car spectrum in Forza Horizon 5, with others costing more than one million coins (CR) to purchase. If you do not have the Welcome Pack version of the car, you can install player-made tracks to bring it up to the Welcome Pack standard.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - Forza Edition is a special edition of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (2011)

Classification: S2 – (Forza Edition) / S2 – 936 (normal version)

The Sesto Elemento's statistics, for the most part, speak for themselves. Handling, acceleration, launch, and braking often received a perfect score. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but it is certainly among the best and excels in almost every other aspect. This car is designed for road racing or free-roaming speed activities like the Mercedes-AMG Project One and the Koenigsegg Jesko. Additionally, the Forza Edition of the Sesto Elemento provides a flat 25 per cent boost to trick points earned as part of the Skill Chain system, which is a nice bonus. Alternatively, you can purchase the ordinary model at the Auto Show or purchase the Forza Edition variant from a Wheelspin or the Auction House.

Hoonigan Ford Escort RS Cosworth WRC (1991)

Classification: A – 783

Everyone is welcome to participate at no cost (CR 500,000 to buy again)

Hoonigan Ford Cosworth is a fantastic small rally car that is particularly well suited to dirt and cross-country competition. All the better because everyone who plays Forza Horizon 5 and completes the first Showcase event receives it for free inside the game's first hour of play. You will easily maintain your position at the front of the pack when racing because of the excellent handling, both on and off-road, and excellent acceleration. If you can demonstrate some slick driving and corner drifting, you will be well on your way to the front.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR (2008)

Class: A – 800 (Welcome Pack) / B – 649 (normal version)

Price: CR 43,000 (included in the premium Welcome Pack) (normal version)

This Mitsubishi Lancer GSR is unquestionably one of the most adaptable cars available in Forza Horizon 5, and it is one that you should purchase as soon as you are able. Although we've been driving the Welcome Pack model, which, like the Porsche Taycan, comes pre-tuned and is only available as part of the expensive Welcome Pack, we've also been driving the standard edition. With outstanding Acceleration and Off-Road stats, this Class A version of the Lancer is an excellent choice for mixed-terrain Dirt racing. Although this modified Lancer is capable of off-roading, it's stable handling, speed, and acceleration make it an excellent choice for any street driving or even road racing on the open road. If you don't have the premium Welcome Pack, a tuning setup for the standard B Class version of the Lancer that raises its rating to 700 or an ideal setup that raises it to A-Class is the best route to take.

M12S Warthog CST

Classification: A – 719

The cost is 850,000.

Even though it is not a genuine car in our reality, we believe the Warthog from Halo is a true hidden gem of a car. It has some of the best-in-class launches for an off-road car, which means it will fly off the line at the start of the majority of Cross-Country races, and its incredible off-roading stats mean it will remain extremely stable on all terrains, making it an excellent choice for cross-country racing. Its most significant drawback is that its base top speed of 117mph (we see what you did there, Playground Games) is pitifully slow, necessitating the need for a bespoke tuning set up to remain competitive in races on more challenging levels. If you're searching for an exciting car to drive on open terrain, the Warthog is unquestionably the best choice. Because of its size, weight, and power, it is virtually unstoppable as you go across the country of Mexico. You won't need roads to get where you're going if you're riding in a Warthog. Even though this Halo novelty car is a little on the pricey side for an off-road A-Class car, we believe it is well worth it if you already have the CR.

Ford Capri RS3100 (1973) – 497 horsepower Class: D

CR 55,000 (about)

There will be no glossing over the truth in this case. The majority of D Class cars are old bangers that have been on the road for longer than the average Forza Horizon 5 participant. It's unlikely that you'll ever require one of these cars, but if you do, the Ford Capri RS3100 is a great choice. Its car is unquestionably one of the best in its class for cars in this category. It has well-balanced stats across the board, excellent launch, speed, and handling characteristics. It's suitable for road races, less complex street races, and even the occasional mixed-terrain dirt race, among other things. As a result of the fact that it is such a stripped-down car – as are many of the Class D cars– it is particularly amenable to customization. Many tuning options are available for the Ford Capri to raise its performance to A or S Class levels.

BMW X5 M Forza Edition & Aston Martin Valhalla

However, although the BMW X5 M Forza Edition is only accessible as part of the VIP Pack DLC, its stats are really impressive. In handling, acceleration, and launch, it receives a perfect 10, but braking and speed receive a 9.4 and 8.0, respectively. This car excels at entering tight curves and accelerating out of them at high speeds. As a result, it ranks among the best cars in Forza Horizon 5's street races. The Aston Martin Valhalla has a price of 1,150,000 Credits, which means it isn't exactly inexpensive. However, it receives perfect scores in acceleration and launch, a 9.2 for handling, a 9.4 for braking, and an 8.5 for speed. If you don't want to spend the real-world money on the VIP Pass, the Valhalla is the next best thing when it comes to manoeuvring in tight spaces without sacrificing too much speed and manoeuvrability.

The Aston Martin Vulcan AMR PRO is the best Forza Horizon 5 S2 car available.

For its size, the Aston Martin Vulcan has one of the best handling characteristics in the S2 Class. With amazing grip and quick low-gear acceleration, this car is a must-have. Every minor circuit in the game will benefit from it. As a result, it is extremely suitable for racing in Guanajuato (including when the road is damp). In the case of those in need of something more powerful, Don Joe won. Song highly suggests the Bugatti Divo.

What to Know Before Playing Forza Horizon 5

Players will explore a new open-world landscape in Forza Horizon 5. The Horizon Festival brings us to Mexico this time, with stunning sights, thrilling racing action, and more cars and activities than you can throw a gear stick at. Listed here are five things to keep in mind before playing Forza Horizon 5 to help you have that flawless start.

Graphics Quality & Performance

If you're playing Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox Series X|S, you'll need to choose between the Quality and Performance graphical settings.

For the greatest visuals, play on Quality mode. The game runs at 4K, HDR 30FPS. It features ray-tracing in the Forzavista mode for close-up views of cars.

Select performance mode to maintain 60FPS. The game will still operate in 4K HDR, but some of the graphical settings will be reduced to meet that silky smooth framerate.

You can choose between these options at any moment, but it will force the game to restart.

The Drone Is Your Barn Finding Buddy

While I've previously supplied a quick Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find locations guide for your convenience, if you want to do some of the work yourself, you'll want to use your Drone.

It can be accessed via the 'Creative Hub' menu, and when done, a small drone icon will appear on your map so you can easily drive over to anything you've found, notably Barn Finds.

This is useful when looking for a barn in thickly wooded areas. It's difficult driving through these portions, so a drone that can weave around them is a huge help.

Festivals Have Expeditions

There will be only one festival venue at the start of your Horizon Mexico journey. The next Horizon Chapter is unlocked by completing a series of events, including an epic Showcase.

Then you can choose between road racing, dirt racing, Baja, or PR stunts. But accessing a festival location isn't as easy as hitting A on the desired one.

You'll need to go on adventures in Forza Horizon 5. These are mini-missions to assist set up the festival site. Consider these Showcase events, where you drive an eclectic mix of cars, do some spectacular stunts, and take in some of Mexico's magnificent scenery and variable weather.

Don't sweat it; they're not hard. But a tip: finish the optional objectives when you get to the main site. Getting these easy Accolades will let you level up and reach the next Horizon Chapter for your festival, which unlocks new races and events.

Sell Your Old Cars Again!

Remember having a garage full of cars in Forza Horizon 4 that you never used? Remember how enraged you were that you couldn't do anything with these cars other than virtual dust them? So forget those bad memories because the Auction House is back in Forza Horizon 5!

You can list a car with a minimum bid and a purchase option in the Auction House. Not that your car will sell, as other gamers will be buying them, but it's better than nothing.

We prefer a simple option to 'sell' the car back to the festival, but we'll have to wait now.

Cross-Play and Cross-Save are available.

If you want to visit Mexico with your friends, you'll be happy to hear that you may do so on any platform. Forza Horizon 5 has cross-play. Thus Xbox One gamers can play with Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC players. So you can party without worrying about platform coordination.

Suppose you want to work and then play Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox and PC, even better. When you're on your lunch break but don't want to get up, you can cross-save. So long as you're using the Microsoft Store version of Forza Horizon 5, your progress will sync across PC and Xbox.

Having so many cars, events, caution signs, and community challenges to accomplish is a plus.
